Virtual Consoles on CLI - How to switch?

Hi guys, With my old distro I could change the virtual consoles with ALT + 1,2,3.... How do I do this with TCL? I boot with the text flag.
Have a great weekend!

I thought that the standard key combo for moving directly was ctrl+alt+F# (ie F1)
(Do you need to use the different key combo?)
Also, note that by default TC does not invoke extra vterms (see inittab)

The default is ALT + F1/F2/F3..., but you have to press CTRL+ALT to get out of X and back to a terminal.
But as ^hats says, you'll first have to tell TC to start some virtual terminals.

You are right: it's
ALT+Fn
. I just need to figure out how to make inittab persistant, which I suppose does not fit quite well with the concept of TCL.
Thanks for the quick response, though.

This has been discussed and documented here:

It would effect a higher memory requirement to start multiple virtual consoles.
