support for 2nd SD card in PiCore ?
« on: September 29, 2019, 02:15:42 PM »
I have just found info on connecting a 2nd SD card on a Pi through the use of SDIO on a SPI bus.
The hardware side seems quite simple and with a few wires and a module of less than a buck/quid/euro I should be able to add a volume for my data.
I like to have it separate from the boot media as I replace the boot SD quite often during experiments.
Sure USB media and USB SD card readers do exist, but I want to keep it small, energy efficient and probably all on a Pi-Zero.

Who has any advise or experience on this matter from a piCore perspective ?
Is it supported ? Or can we get it to work using the modules we have ?
I am investigating the software side while the SD card module is in transit.

There should not be anything extra needed for this, just set the overlay and wire it up.

Thanks Paul, That is a good prospect for this HW expansion.
Still waiting for the delivery, so I can't tell yet if it works.
