How to see pxelinux menu error messages?

I'm not sure where to post this question but here goes...

I am using pxelinux.0 with a standard menu.c32 with a simple PXE boot menu.  When there is an error message from the menu it flashes on the screen for a fraction of a second and is gone.  How can I get it to stop at the error message so I can read it?
