System Requirements

Before attempting to install the AMD Catalyst Proprietary Linux Graphics Driver, the following software must be installed:

    Xorg/Xserver 7.4 and above (up to 1.17)
    Linux kernel 2.6 or above (up to 3.19)
    glibc version 2.2 or 2.3
    POSIX Shared Memory (/dev/shm) support is required for 3D applications

In TC9 Xorg is up to version 1.20 and the kernel is at 4.14. This may cause some problems if the install package checks for
upper limits on version numbers. That package is also closed source that hasn't been updated in almost 4 years so it may not
be compatible with the current Xorg/kernel versions.

You need to be experienced with linux to use proprietary pre-compiled drivers - it would be better to try and get your hardware working with the xf86-video-ati or modesetting drivers.
