Can't repack tinycore into a bootable image
« on: May 08, 2019, 03:11:38 AM »
I have downloaded a few days ago a copy of the terminal version of tinycore Linux, because I wanted something with small size and wanted to learn to use the terminal well.

I wanted to do some custom modification but after having re-packed the ISO image together I always got an error from my testing environment (VirtualBox) telling me that it couldn't find a bootable device.

I suspected it was because of my modification, therefore I tried to only extract the "Core-current.iso" image, and then generating a new one with the folder that I just extracted. Surprisingly, this got me the same error again. Can any of you guys explain me where something could be going wrong here, as I can't really understand?

PS: I'm running in a Linux system, Mint 18.

What command are you using to make the iso?
