Can't open /dev/fb0: No such device
« on: November 26, 2018, 01:12:21 PM »
I can't seem to be able to access the framebuffer on my Lenovo x300. I'd like to run links -g in console mode.

Any tips on how to fix this?

Yes, fb0. It was just a typo in the title. Doesn't change that it doesn't work.

To have FB, you either need to set a video mode boot code (see the FAQ), or load the graphics- extension. The latter should use your laptop's native resolution.

The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
