command=showbootcodes and core line
« on: October 05, 2018, 08:56:18 AM »
Hi

If I run
Code: [Select]
showbootcodes
which is the same as going to control panel -> System Stats -> Click TAB for boot

it shows only the Kernel line......also known as the linux line in grub2

Question
Is there a command to show the initrd line for grub2.....or what ever bootloader people use?

thanks for reading

Not for grub2, but for regular linux you could just look in the file cmdline in proc.

Code: (bash) [Select]
cat /proc/cmdline

patrikg

that only shows my kernel line on my system. Does it show the core line on yours?

Maybe its because I use grub2 from another distro to boot TC that sits on its own partition
so am using 40_custom grub2 to boot various entries for TC

Code: [Select]
cat /proc/cmdline
BOOT_IMAGE=/grub/vmlinuz home=sda3 opt=sda3 tce=sda3 lst=xfce.lst syslog
