64 bit 9x Introducing ristretto
« on: August 24, 2018, 09:41:56 PM »
hi

64 bit repo has  a few image viewers. The following are my personal opinions

The lightest is feh but it can not handle animated gif or svgs.
Until recently eog.tcz  (eye of gnome) was the best app for those who needed to view those above types.
Total for eog ~ 49 Mb vs ristretto ~ 27 Mb vs feh 2Mb

So I am announcing we now have ristretto that can run as a stand alone viewer in our repo.
Both eog and ristretto can do slideshows.

If you run ristretto from a terminal command instead of from wbar, you may see numerous warnings that relate to XFCE. These can be safely ignored as they are warning not errors

link shows a screen capture of an animated gif  and the surrounding buttons etc

^^ top RH buttons are  zoom in - zoom out - zoom to normal scale - zoom to fit current window size - full screen
