Hi

I used to be called aus9 and other names but have re-joined the forum as it was unfair of me to use the submission email for my personal issues.

Now I notice that Xorg-7.7 and openbox have Wayland as running dependency.

AFAIK openbox can not itself be run on Wayland.....there is a project called waybox attempting that feat but I believe its not yet ready for submission.

I have also looked into Weston and Wayland and am by no means an expert.

Is it not possible to remove that dep?

thanks for reading

Wayland is a dep of libEGL and thus a recursive dep of Xorg-7.7 and openbox.

It might be possible to separate things out, but this has not been looked at.

Unless you stick with the older libEGL (TC7), it's unlikely to load the extensions properly.

Quote
$ echo libGL.tcz > libEGL.tcz.dep
$ tce-load -i openbox
