CUPS Site Issues
« on: January 18, 2018, 09:43:15 AM »
When I click on my admin tab for the CUPS page it redirects to https: but my cups page is running on http so this breaks the link chain. Anyone know how to set cups to https or to change the admin link to http? The other issue is that I am trying to get a Konica Minolta Bizhub 222 to communicate with the box but I seem to not be getting the driver or settings right. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I'm having trouble adding printers specifically Konica. It seems other distros seem to be able to recognize these printers natively without much difficulty. They are weighty, though, Suse and Ubuntu. It would be great to be able to setup a very lightweight print server with TCL. I think it is an issue with PPDs provided in CUPS because it seems that TCL can communicate with the devices and even read the ink levels but I am getting filter failed on prints. I have tried Konica site Linux PPDs and even some more obscure more sketchy sites (some even in German). I haven't really found a good pure CUPS forum.

What filter error did you get?

If it was about fonts, load the xorg-fonts extension.

It says xorg fonts is already installed. I am wondering if CUPS won't print if the printers have warning messages. The printers I am having issues with have end of life warnings. I didn't see a description on the filter failed.
