Are you running Wayland on TC? You must one of the first to do so. Does it work well? Screenshots?

Not yet, because there is no session for it available yet, even though it was hinted at, see:

Since "Santa" (  ;D  ;) ) is currently working on bringing Wayland to Tiny Core Linux, maybe it would be a good idea to make a nice and lean Wayland + Weston session the new default for Tiny Core Linux 8.x  :).

wayland might be an option for corepure64 8.x, but it's not going to be the default...

But:

Does it work well?

I would assume so, otherwise neither Fedora nor Ubuntu would have switched to it (default session).

I've run weston/wayland a few times on Corepure64 - it's not noticeably better or worse than X, but is awkward to start (see weston info file).

The gnome people have made things so the mutter wayland driver will not compile without systemd.

If you do not use it, why do you keep asking for updates to it?

Yeah, we discussed this earlier: http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,9021.msg128864.html#msg128864

To be able to try out the latest version and to push technology.

Thanks a lot. Any chance you could upload a TinyCore or CorePlus ISO which comes with a Weston session?

Not really - CorePlus is 32-bit only and TinyCorePure64 is Xfbdev only

It's not difficult to try starting weston from the CorePure64 iso - from the console prompt, assuming you have a wired connection, you'd need:
Code: [Select]
$ tce-load -wil weston
$ XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/user/$(id -u) weston-launch
