Running CorePlus on an old Laptop

Hi there,
I tested CorePlus v8.0 on my virtual box and wanted to install it on my old laptop - toshiba tecra 550cdt (https://goo.gl/XqVDgQ)

It has PII 233 Mhz CPU and 64 Mb of RAM, but I face an issue when I try to run it from CD. I use debug key and here is a log. Any assistance would be appreciate.

Summary in logs:
-Cpu family  0x5 not supported
-assertation 'maxidx >=2' failed

I have fixed lots of bugs of operating systems on old computers.
I just updated the bios to newer versions.
But it's not easy to find these.
And the computer may be destroyed in the firmware(bios) update.
And just add more parameters/arguments to the linux kernel.
Just google at "noapic acpi=off"

And as the error the cpu may not be supported.
You could try some very old versions of tc.

You hit a bug in glibc that only affects old processors. Your machine is still supported by TC (and so by CorePlus), but as we update glibc only in major versions due to it being somewhat risky, you'll need to try an older version. 7.x should be fine, assuming your pic is from 8.x.
