no sound with 8.1 coreplus

   hi tinycore team and everyone
   thanks for creating this masterpiece   
   its the best designed distro there is

   i am trying to set up 8.1 coreplus on a dell laptop   
   but i cant get the sound to work
   i tried alsa config but it doesn't work 
   6.4.1 coreplus works fine

   any ideas

What sound hardware do you have? What error message do you get?

   the system says
   Cirrus Logic High Definition Audio

   i dont know how to find the error logs
   i guess try to run vlc2 from the aterm

   will do that

    when i run vlc in a xterm it says

    pulse audio output error: PulseAudio server connection failure: connection refused

Are you trying to use alsa or pulseaudio?

If alsa, then you will probably need to adjust the vlc audio properties to use alsa.

If pulseaudio, did you start the dbus daemon?
