Have you considered having a donations page?

Having a donations page is a good idea because people without strong coding-fu skills can still contribute to the project.

A seperate top 10, 20, or 100 (space permitting) contributors list at the bottom of the homepage would be nice as well, because people like to be recognized in some way for contributions.

Currently, we do not accept donations but encourage contributions to the project in other ways.
