If a PC/VirtualBox-guest-system has installation of TinyCorePluse on hard-drive and if it is booted from CD/iso-image for Re-installation causes issue:-
(1) System boot form CD but use files/structure of hard-drives.
(2) The hard-drive will be mounted:
(2a) Unable to unmount hard-drive.
(2b) Could not use 'cfdisk' or 'GParted-Partition-Editor' tools/ utilities to delete exiting installation/ partitions.

A cd boot will search other drives for /tce folders and mount them/load extensions if found by design.
If an extension is loaded from a /tce folder on a hd, you will not be able to un-mount the hd to use cfdisk or gparted.

So that will no serve purposes of live cd for reinstallation, contrast to other live operating systems. May require upgradations!!!

If you want to upgrade, just overwrite the files core.gz and vmlinuz and reboot.

Note that vmlinuz usually does not need upgrading for minor version updates.

The bootcode "base" is intended for upgrades etc, it loads nothing from any disk.
