delete unnecessary icons from wbar
« on: July 27, 2016, 02:53:01 PM »
Recently I deleted abiword using deletions and dependencies and did a reboot, but even after the reboot, abiword shows in wbar confg menu. Is there a way to delete it and not merely transfer it over to exclude icons..?

The icons from an extension normally only appear in wbar when the extension is loaded (onboot or manually) or set ondemand.

When the extension is not loaded the icon should not appear.

You can list which extensions are loaded using the command "tce-status -i".

Another possible explanation for the icon being present when the extension is not loaded is that you have it saved in your backup, but I doubt that you would manage that by mistake...

Are OnDemand items not removed upon deletion?
If so, delete manually:
/etc/sysconfig/tcedir/ondemand/abiword
/etc/sysconfig/tcedir/ondemand/abiword.img
Download a copy and keep it handy: Core book ;)
