Hi
Problem reappeared, I'm on bionic64
Thanks

Jason W:
Hi, I just saw this, I am looking into it.

Jason W:
Here is what I have found with the current ppa:niko2040/e19 version of Enlightenment.  In dCore-trusty and dCore-bionic64, when a USB device is simply plugged in, a USB icon appears on the desktop.  When a cdrom is inserted and mounted, an icon does not appear.  I am assuming that as the cdrom icon was fixed and working in dCore in the past, the cdrom icon was working when dCore-trusty was the current Ubuntu based dCore when the then current version of Enlightenment was being used.

Today on a hard drive install of Ubuntu Bionic64, when Enlightenment is installed from this PPA, a USB icon does not appear when the USB is inserted and not when mounted.  Also, a cdrom icon does not appear when a CD is inserted or mounted.

Perhaps as the cdrom is a legacy media format, maybe it is not being supported in regards to icons with the current version of Enlightenment offered by that PPA.

Hello
Thanks Jason for the testings,
as pointed on the following post:
http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,22255.0.html
I don't use anymore niko2040's ppa because is not up to date.
On my hd I have an ubuntu mate 18.10 install with the torkvemada enlightenment ppa.
On that installation, using enlightenment, both usb and cdrom icons appear, while on dCore (64) only the usb appear, but the cdrom no

Jason W:
Using the https://launchpad.net/~torkvemada/+archive/ubuntu/e22 repo for enlightenment (e17 version 0.22.4) on a Ubuntu Bionic 64 bit hard drive install, I see no icons for USB when either inserted or mounted, nor for CDROM when inserted or mounted.

Given that, on my setup I can't test for a solution.
