AM1 platform being phased out, good deals

Apparently AMD is phasing the AM1 platform out, the standard prices have halved, and there's been a few rather good deals (cpu + mobo for 30$, etc).

That's for a quad-core platform with decent integrated gpu @ 25W TDP. So if you're thinking of a new box for TC, or just have extra beer money, may be good to look for those deals ;)

Did you see that story about INTEL..........lying to the world about the capabilities of its cpu's.  No doubt uncovered Lies by a rival such as AMD.....neverless it was global news and the odd thing was you can only get your 15 dollar REBATE if you live in the United States. (the chips were maybe 90 dollars)....it's a piecemeal compensation.

but ONE country out of 246....?.................where intel sell their chips?...........it's hardly a lawyers golden case is it.  (no doubt intel paid the off to keep it USA only)
