Appbrowser connection issue- 2.0rc3
« on: May 31, 2009, 10:04:03 AM »
In 2.0rc3 Appbrowser shows the list of available extensions, but in cca. 90% can't download it, says 'Error, try later', in few cases starts download but freesing in the beginning. Files can be downloaded with Opera fine, so it is not a networking issue.

Appbrowser is calling wget. What happens when you try using wget?

Still I experience the same problem with 2.0

When I download extensions listed in the dependency file with wgets in a shell script it works fine, only appbrowser is freezing.

It appears to be caused by the interaction of several programs.
It is being looked into with a possible solution currently being tested.

Just an idea. When I run wgets just few hours ago download was slow and wget displayed "stalled" at the end of line instead of showing ETA with every third files. Download continued later and got all files downloaded. However pattern was similar to the case when I had troubles with appbrowser. Thare may be a relationship.
