MC 9 Screen blank / screen saver
« on: May 15, 2018, 02:27:07 AM »
Hi all,

Sorry if this sounds like a realy stupid question.

I was wondering how I set MC to blank the screen after x minutes of no keyboard input ?

Thanks :)

See man setterm

See man setterm

Feed back much appreciated curaga.

My results with setterm experiments from the command line

Code: [Select]
$ setterm
-sh: setterm: not found

Perhaps its a part of a tcz package.

I'll have to learn how to use appbrowser to search the tcz's for it.

Hi remus
You can find  setterm  in  util-linux.tcz.

Thanks to all contributors to this solution.

I've installed

Code: [Select]
tce-load -wi util-linux

setterm --blank 3

I also added
Code: [Select]
setterm --blank 3to my /opt/bootlocal.sh file.

Saved work
Code: [Select]
filetool.sh -b
