Please use a mirror near you. You can change mirrors whenever.
That wasn't the issue; the repo.tinycorelinux.net URL was down, therefore, it was completely useless, regardless of mirror.
Of course, not an issue now, as someone's fixed it up now. On that note, probably a good idea to get the ol' netbook out again.

As a side-note, the machine I was having trouble with is using dCore, of which I think uses one package list URL to do everything.
