p and u options of sce-import
« on: December 08, 2015, 05:40:13 PM »
Hi
are those 2 the opposite? If yes, the default one should be eliminated.
Thanks

I will ponder it.   I would like to get rid of unneeded options, maybe one day when there are no bigger issues at hand.

If one has "PRESERVEDEBINXMODE=TRUE" in their /etc/sysconfig/sceconfig file, then the -u option overrides that.  Folks may want to only update the DEBINX every so often, and using the "sce-update -u" option  alllows overriding this.  So it is by design of having sceconfig provide defaults and command line switches allow different behavior upon each import session.

Hi
the -u option could be described as default in --help.
Thank you
