mdadm.tcz added to piCore-7 repo. Most probably works with piCore-6.1 please try. However I kindly advice to use piCore-7.0beta1.

piCore 7b1 uses 4.1.13 kernel.  4.1.x kernels have reports of broken raid implementation.  Not sure what all is affected, the reports just say to used > 4.2.4 kernels

Can you provide reference to RAID issues? I would be suprised to see RAID bugs in a long term release at x.y.13 :(

It was on this page.

http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/svn/postlfs/mdadm.html

There are references to raid changes the linux change log at 4.2.4.   https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v4.x/ChangeLog-4.2.4

That is the extent I looked into it.   Not sure how critical the bugs are.

They are saying:

"This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-7.8 platform. "

Half way down the page is the note about the kernel.

Since they reference the mdadm source maintained at kernel.org, I assume they are talking about the official kernel source as well.

Hi again.
7.0beta1 looks very promising.
Mdadm works very well.
I found 1 missing word in mdadm. In repo is mdam.tcz, I think it should be mdadm.tcz
