deb packages to tcz?
« on: November 19, 2015, 01:28:23 PM »
I found an old thread regard this question where are mentioned 2 tools to convert deb packages, dpkg-deb.tcz and dpkg.tcz. But actually i do not find them in APPS ... Are they outdated and not available anymore? Is there some other way to convert deb packages. Concretely, i'd be interested to get working the spideroak hive in TCL as well.

Or may be, if it is easier, a slackware package to tcz? ;)

TIA

Or search for  deb2tcz  on the forums. I think it was only posted as a script and not available as extension either.
Or ask the web how to extract .deb packages and read the wiki about how to create extensions.
Extensions created from .deb packages may work or not.
Download a copy and keep it handy: Core book ;)
