Don't think any of those three extensions were loaded (libcdio, taglib and libcddb). Loaded as per your request, restarted VLC and now album image and proper song titles appear in playlist. Not sure these were linked as dependencies for VLC/VLC2?

sorry changed edit past post.

Ok that means maybe, your dependencies have not uploaded?

I assumed you mean vlc2....in which case it should have downloaded the deps I can see in Apps
---very strange.

I can't test an update as i was lazy and had new stuff in my tcedir.

VLC is quite complex. Reviewed your dep list and these .tcz extensions are listed, not sure why they didn't load on my system. I will fully remove VLC and VLC2, reboot and do a reinstall of VLC2 for starters. Hopefully everything will load and work as expected. For the time being please don't spend any more time on this, will update later.

Edit: My system underwent quite a bit of upheaval today (updates, software removals, testing). Rebooted and reinstalled vlc2.tcz, everything works as expected. Playlist and album cover good. Sorry for drama, my bad - pebkac :)  Thanks again for providing VLC.
