apps installation error on apps browser (md5sum)
« on: August 11, 2015, 09:03:00 AM »
Hi,

I try to install apps (especially firefox) with the apps browser but when i press "Go" this message appears in the terminal:
"md5sum: firefox.tcz.md5.txt: No such file or directory"
and the Status in apps browser print "Failed"

I use a proxy with "export http_proxy = http://..."

i don't know what to do :/

thanks for your help :)

firefox.tcz.md5.txt checks out on the server.

Maybe you need to remove the spaces around the = sign:
Code: [Select]
export http_proxy=http://...

First I would try wget itself in a terminal whether it works or not with the proxy settings.

Finally, i managed to install apps (via tce-load command line) but firefox don't work :/ (i click on the icon but nothing happen)
I tried to install midori (i have a very old thin client) but i don't find the midori.tcz in the data base.
Do you have a solution to install midori? (i managed to install midori with wget command but i don't have dep tcz with).

i find midori here but i don't know how to install it (with dep) :
http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/tcz_2x.html

thanks for your help :)

What happens if you type  firefox  at the command line?

thanks for your answers :)

i will try this morning to dowload both files.
EDIT : /*
i dowloaded with wget midori.tcz, midori.tcz.dep, midori.tcz.info, midori.tcz.list ,midori.tcz.md5.txt   , midori.tcz.tree and midori.tcz.zsync (on http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/4.x/x86/tcz/)

when i write "tce-load -i /mnt/sdb1/midori.tcz" (local installation on my USB stick) webkitgtk-1.0-0.tcz was not found so i dowloaded it (on http://ftp.nluug.nl/os/Linux/distr/tinycorelinux/3.x/tcz/) and lubunique was not found too so i downloaded it too (on the same site).

after that, "tce-load -i /mnt/sdb1/midori.tcz" works and a midori icon appears on my screen.
But, when i click on it, nothing happens :/
when i write "midori" on terminal :
midori: error while loading shared libraries: libnotify.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such or directory.

thanks you for your great help :)
*/

when i write "firefox" the terminal print "Illegal instruction"

The Mozilla builds of Firefox have required a 686 for over a year IIRC, so if you have a 586 like an older Via CPU you'd need to build Firefox yourself. There may also be a more recent requirement of SSE2, not sure.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Either you need the libnotify extension or the libnotify extension you have is the wrong version

ok thanks a lot :)

so i try to downloaded all files there, in the same place : http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/3.x/tcz/
but with wget it's very long ....
how can i change the directory to do a "tce-load -w -i" command on this site please?

i try to change the /opt/tcemirror file but didn't work :( (HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found)
maybe it's the wrong file ?

thank you in advance for your answers :)
