dCore Import Debian Packages to Mountable SCE extensions > dCore X86
USB-image (like '.iso'-file)
(1/1)
sm8ps:
From my toying with the '.iso'-file I found it quite cumbersome to get anything done with it, mainly because of its read-only file system. Of course the CD-installation does have its use-cases but I see much more potential in a ready-made image that one could simply "dd" over to a USB-stick.
The content of the image should be identical to the '.iso'-file (boot-loader, preferably Extlinux, kernel and initrd plus the same extensions). Then one could simply enlarge the partition in question and get started by adapting the boot-loader to one's liking and import extensions etc. I think this would be a great, easy way to introduce people to dCore.
I do not know the best way (none, to be honest) to automatically create such an image. Any ideas?
