We can't have dashes in the names on the ISO.  I like the dashes in the names in general, though I do like consistency as well.  What does everyone think?  Rename all to, say, dCorewheezy.gz and vmlinuzwheezy, or leave as it?

netnomad:
hi friends,

i prefer the current situation.
i use multifiunctional scripts and configurations,
so f.e. i use a very extensive syslinux.cfg and most entries differ just with tiny details.
it's much easier to copy entries, if there are only needed differences...

thank you for your help.

I prefer the dash in the names for readability -- which is not that great of an issue, to be sure. However, the CD-installation exists in parallel to other installation methods; as long as there is no installer from CD to hard-disk the names will not appear because there is no reason to manually manipulate the boot-loader. Furthermore the '.iso'⁻file is IMHO not of that great importance compared to the flexibility a USB-installation provides (-> cf. separate thread).

Jason W:
ISO does make it easy to use with Virtualbox, which is a very popular way to run Linux nowadays, especially for newer users.

Of course, us more seasoned folks normally run off hard drive or usb.
