usb tinycore pendrive

Hello,

Recently the pen drive contained my fully configured
TCL   4.3.x  has just gone faulty.  It was not a very old
pendrive at all.

Consequently much is lost , inparticular the whole
configuration and unique older extensions that
are depricated now  (Adobe Flash 10.3  ) and older python too.

Are there any existing remasters of TCL?...... since it's the only
real linux that interest me.  What i mean is a configured remaster
with its native web browser, (Flash 10.3) and file manager and sound
base and in a usable state for nomadic intent (as tiny core is designed for)

Remasters are not supported.
You can check the unsupported section at http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/board,43.0.html
but do not post questions about them in the forums.  All remasters MUST supply their own support.

Hi. Tiny Core is so configurable, it is unlikely someone's remaster would provide everything you want out-of-the-box. Tiny Core is the easiest distribution ever for quick copy/paste backups, so once you get your system running again just backup mydata and /optional or copy the entire contents of your pendrive onto a hard drive.

Tiny Core v4 is still popular and the repositories are available. Shouldn't take too long to get back to a decent system. I know Tiny Core 6 has a getFlash10 extension, it's probably also in v4 repositories. Or if using Firefox, just manually install the libflashplayer.so version you want into /plugins. Sorry can't help with Python. All customized personal extensions should regularly be backed up, even just a quick cloud/email attachment so they are never lost.

Okay the answer must lie is better prep and backing up.

I do have the necessary files saved someplace.

You could also make a script to install all you need after the installation and configure the packages and files. Then there is no need for full copy of the content of the pendrive, just a script saved in your e-mail, cloud or other place easy to remember.

newFALCON1, if you haven't reused your usb pendrive yet, you may be able to restore at least some files using testdisk (and photorec).

Uh the pendrive is faulty. 

The pen could not be found by any machine.,.......as a booting thumb drive
at bios level ............or at desktop level as a drive.

i Can not interact with it in any way. It lights up, that's all.

It won't show the thumbdrive in tools like gparted.
