sce-remove bug [SOLVED]
« on: May 02, 2015, 11:39:17 AM »
Hi
I launched sce-remove and selected an sce to remove, then I imported 2 new sce and relaunched sce-remove, but on the list where I choose what to remove, they don't appear.

I have imported several packages using sce-import -r -b, and could not get them to run.  I then tried to use sce-remove to get rid of them, but even after reboot they remained in sceboot.lst and in the sce dir.  Am I missing something?

Using dcore version 15.05.03

So we can compare apples to apples, which packages are not working or removing?  And what dCore port?  Though the second should not make a difference, want to make sure.

I use ..ub-dCore-trusty...

I previously tried..catfish..(a file finder ...before gtkfind was available)...and today
network-manager..and network-manager-gnome.

My files are located:
/mnt/sda3/dcore/sceboot.lst
/mnt/sda3/dcore/sce/

Ok, network-manager is a gnome app and many of those may not work.

But I did fix the sce-remove issue, was a bug in the previous bugfix, uploaded to release.

Different sce-remove bug (listing extensions)
I am facing a different problem with sce-remove on ub-dCore-trusty (recent version of 20150505) that I am posting in this thread as it could be related to recent changes.
I have four extensions imported: flwm, graphics-3.16.6-tinycore, sl, xorg-all.
When I launch 'sce-remove' it shows the alphabetical list. When I remove, say, sl the listing is re-created but is corrupted. It reads
  • flwm
  • graphics...
  • xorg-all
  • flwm
  • graphics...
  • xorg-all
When I remove flwm the new listing reads
  • graphics...
  • xorg-all
  • graphics...
  • xorg-all
  • graphics...
  • xorg-all
Quitting at this point, the messages say
Code: [Select]
grep: *.dep: No such file or directory
grep: *.dep: No such file or directory
sl
flwm
The above SCEs will be removed upon shutdown or reboot.
This indeed happens, so the basic functionality is working. Simply the listing seems to repeat until at least six items are present.
