How to open .hta apps in firefox or any other browser

<< < (2/2)

mocore:

Take a look at
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/992695/htas-use-other-browser-to-host

lots of '.hta' info within .

Hta will only work on M$ with InternetExplorer , perhaps if you realy want hta on linux !? you could try runing IE mshta.exe with wine and some things might work ? but i guess most 'system' stuff will fail .

mahmoua:
Was also surfing for an answer. Then opened hta under linux (Debian 7, browser google chrome Version 47.0.2526.106).
Works! Opened automatically in Chrome
Not sure if wine is needed.
It is installed on my system.

Hope this helps

nimday:
Opera9 also can open it.
For firefox try to change the extension to htm or html because the win version will ask the question as well.
