RPi vs. RPi2 performance
« on: February 11, 2015, 07:34:02 AM »
To illustrate performance difference between Raspberry Pi (Model B) and RPi2 see compilation time of two packages:

             DHCP               db
RPi2   12m 51s          26m 21s
RPi     39m 16s     1h 26m 58s

On RPi2 the same packages were used as on RPi built for ARMv6, nothing optimized for ARMv7.

Hi Belá!

Will there be a piCore optimized for RPi 2 soon?

Greetings,
Mats

PS  The difference is huge when it comes to surf the web with Iceweasel (which crashed frequently on the RPi 1 B+)  DS
