bsddb copied from 5.x x86 to 6.x x86
« on: February 09, 2015, 10:17:33 AM »
bsddb.tcz is a dependency for Linux-PAM.tcz, but doesn't exist in the 6.x x86 repositories.  Could this be copied over from 5.x?

Hi zhudock
Have you verified that it works under 6.x?

It appears to. I haven't done a lot of work with it, but it was required to compile kbd. after installing the version from TC 5.x and Linux-PAM, I was able to compile kbd, and kbd is functioning as expected.

bsddb.tcz is now db.tcz in 6.x so better not to copy the old 5.x version to 6.x repo. Use db-dev.tct to build apps.

Why is the change? Ask ORACLE :)

Thanks. I hadn't noticed that. I believe the .dep for Linux-PAM*.tcz needs to be updated then. It's still looking for bsddb.tcz as a dep
