Libreoffice 4.4
« on: January 29, 2015, 12:09:00 PM »
Hi guys!

Running TC 6.0 x86 is a delight, and I have a request of an update of a very valuable extension. I've been touching this subject before and know it's a hard nut to crack, but an update of libreoffice to the latest 4.4.0.3 would be wonderful, if someone has the possibility to make it. I just updated one of my computers to use it and it really "rocks".  ::)

Kindest regards,
meo

There's libreoffice-4.3.5.2 in the corepure64 repo.

Hi Juanito!

I'm running x86 32 (an old netbook actually) so I's not for me and the difference between libreoffice 4.3.5.2 and 4.4.0.3 is huge. It's a major update so if anyone has the possibility to update this extension it would be very appreciated.

Keep up the good work,
meo

libreoffice-4.4.0.3 posted - it took an hour longer to compile than the x86_64 version...

Hi again!

Didn't start. So I tried to start from the command line but got an error message. It reads:

tc@box:~$ libreoffice
Xlib:  extension "XINERAMA" missing on display ":0.0".
/tmp/tcloop/libreoffice/usr/local/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
tc@box:~$

It seems familiar but I don't remember what's missing. Please advise!

'seems the glu extension needs to be loaded?

Strange - I didn't need to load it explicitly, are you using Xorg-7.7?

Hi!

I'm using an old netbook (xvesa=1024x600x32) with a SD card slot. So I run from an SD card. Thanks for a quick response! Will test further.

Greetings,

I'm not sure, but it looks like glu is a run-time dep of glew - glew deps modified and posted.
