Hi:
Is the current piCore 5.3.1 working with the new RASPI model B+ ?
Some sources stated that there are different drivers for USB and LAN

It may require firmware update. Overwrite files on mmcblk0p1 from this archive

http://tinycorelinux.net/5.x/armv6/releases/fwupdate/rpifw140919.tar.xz

and reboot.
