[SOLVED] tightVnc resolution with Xvesa?
« on: August 11, 2014, 06:38:57 AM »
Hello all!

I have a tightVNC server running ok but when I connect to it I only get 640x480 resolution and (seems like) 16bit colors...

Is there some way to set a default resolution or some way to change it in the client side? (by the way, the client is a Chromebook)

Running on Core 5.3 with Xvesa and Xrandr extension loaded.

Thanks!

Yes, check Xvnc -help for the syntax. The server determines the resolution and depth.

Xrandr works with Xorg, no use with Xvesa.

Hello!

I was using

Code: [Select]
Xvnc :1 -set RandR="1024x768,1024x600,800x600"
sorry by the dumb question...

Thanks for the answers!

Our tinyX is now our default Xvesa in 5.3?
