Does TC really work on an MMC card (not SD card)?

I downloaded the piCore 5.3 and image it to an MMC card (512M), but I cannot boot the raspberry pi successfully, it hangs at the splash screen.

Theoretically yes. I do not have any MMC card, I can't test it. What I found is that even a 4G SD card my be undetected in one RPi while it works with another.

Maybe my MMC card is too old, I bought it 8 years ago.

I have it working on 128MB MMC cards.
Nope, just checked, thought they were MMC
Says Kingmax Platinum 128MB
SD
Very old SD's 6+yrs?
Thinner than normal SD's
