No Keyboard LEDs?
« on: May 13, 2014, 08:45:45 PM »
Hi Everyone,

Even from the live CD, I never have keyboard Leds. The numlock works, the cap lock works, but the indicator on the keyboard doesn't work so you have no way of knowing if they are engaged or not. Is there a fix for this?

Try a different keyboard.

I tried more than a few. The lights are on until the GUI starts.

I've also tried it on a few different machines - all are P4 class single cores with either USB or PS/2 Keyboards.

I can't believe that this isn't effecting anyone else - I get the behavior directly on the live iso for tiny core 5.3 and coreplus 5.3 before it is even installed on the hard drive.

Capslock led should be working, but numlock led may not work with Xvesa.  Try Xorg.

Hi Andy
Just a thought, but maybe try the  Xvesa-7.1.tcz  extension from TC4. From the info file:

Comments:       This is the newer Xvesa from Xorg 7.1 that
                            supports the numlock LED.
