loadkmap < /usr/share/kmap/it.kmap where to put it for autoload?

in which file should I put this line for italian kmap autoloading?
I tried .profile and .xsession but it doesn't work

I followed the faq but it does not work, maybe something is wrong in mydata.
I have to exit form X and reenter with startx, and then it works.

actually on 1 pc where I use PPR/TCZ it doesn't work, on another where I use PPI it works.
