Hi all,
just want to share an idea about EeePc and TC.

The financial crisis is affecting the IT at several levels, BUT, the netBooks and specially the EeePC seems to be suffering "less" than the others...

So, here is the idea:

Why not sell "L2-BIOS TC Services" to EeePC user?

Here the "service" (a package):

a) the microUSB hardware
b) TC installed on it
c) support by net

Since it will be narrow to EeePC and focused on it, the support can be much more easy... I think...

It is a way to give Eee users a plus service and ask for financial support, so that the TC can be developed further.

Well,... anyway just an idea that may be transformed in something real...
If you have any other idea for serving and asking users for financial support please share...
Since the crisis will stay for while, better to try some innovation on FOSS and not "wait" things improve...

This third one is from 3 disparate forecast for netbook sales in 2009:



… for me, 8 millions units seems to much conservative and looking at the marketplace 30 millions may be a more likely number…


The interesting thing is that the world economy is showing a down direction since April/2008 and the word "netbook" in search is growing at the opposite direction…
