monitor resolution
« on: March 15, 2014, 04:33:26 PM »
In order to get the correct resolution on my monitor in standard TC I downloaded the xf86-video-nv (nvidia video driver) extension. It looks as though in Debian a similar package is not readily available. Any guidance appreciated!

Xserver-xorg-video-nvidia is available in the wheezy non-free repo.

Below would be an example entry in /opt/debextra/ to obtain it.

http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian  wheezy non-free

Thanks Jason W. I downloaded the package and added it to the sce onboot list. It installs but monitor still has lower resolution. Will fiddle with it some more...

Still no luck getting 1920x1080 resolution on the monitor in dCore. After I downloaded the xserver-xorg-video-nvidia extension and added it to the onbootlst there was an "udevd[87] unknown lib/dev/rules.d/64-btrfs.rules:8 error" message during the boot. The desktop starts but still with the default 1024x768 resolution.
