Low watt Tiny Core

Hello All,
Tiny Core is a neat little distro.  I'm hoping to set-up a tiny core which will help extend my laptop battery life. I know that apps can be set-up on boot or on demand and I was wondering which services I should have running or can services be on boot or on demand.  I'm thinking they can be both but not sure.  My aim is to have a minimal set of apps on boot such as web browser - Firefox and others such as Transmission, archive manager, gtk hash, etc.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I'm sure someone has probably attempted this but don't know where to search the forums for info.  Which windows manager would be best? Thank you for any replies.

Just install what you want from the repo.

Thanks for the pointer Gerald.  I was hoping some other experienced member would throw-in their advice and extensions experience into the conversation.Preferring a GUI experience and with the selection to choose from, knowing I'm not familiar with the lot, I was hoping for a better way to wade thru the choices.

That should get you a functional X server.  Use the Apps program to browse the repo.

I also suggest using lighter web browsers like qtweb. If you want a gtk based web browser, chromium is less resource hungry. Good luck!
