Hi there,
I´d like to give the open sound system (OSS) a try, but not the emulation of it that´s being included with ALSA.
As I don´t have the possibility to compile software myself (yet),
maybe there´s someone here who can help me out with a customized build of tiny core linux (microcore) for the raspberry pi including the latest Open Sound System version from 4Front Technologies.
Anyone tried this yet ?
The ultimate goal would be to have both OSS compiled into TCL, and if needed, still be able to use the latest ALSA build instead, so both systems parallel, maybe sort of switchable, without recompiling.
The OSS emulation is easily loaded and unloaded with snd-pcm-oss and the other modules, but I don´t have any experience with the native OSS in linux.
Any help would very much be appreciated.
Regards.
