OLIMEX OLINUXINO

What about port TinyLinux on this 24Euro  ARM computer (50pieces for 19Euro)?

Super small, cheap, SDCard, TVout, audio pins, USB... Made in Bulgaria :).



    iMX233 ARM926J processor at 454Mhz
    64 MB RAM
    SD-card connector for booting the Linux image
    TV PAL/NTSC video output
    1 USB High Speed Host
    Three buttons
    2x30 pin GPIO for connection of other hardware
    PCB dimensions: 3.00'' x 1.70'' (76.2mm x 43.2mm)
    Nominal dimensions: 3.40'' x 1.70'' (86.4mm x 43.2mm)

For me it seems to be too week in resources. 64MB RAM is adequate only for dedicated embedded system, not for a typical LINUX like TC (in this respect). The MAXI version still has higher price than Raspberry but only 64M RAM, 450MHz CPU, so it is not competitive, not speaking about other HW boards. The only advantage it has audio input.

Possible OpenWRT is a better choise.

Of course it is just my private view.

Tiny Core already runs on many Allwinner A10 systems, including Mele (with SATA), MK802, Marsboard, Hackberry, and Cubieboard. So if Lime is a typical uboot A10 system it should not be much of an effort.

Of course without actual hardware to test the actual effort is unknown. A10 maybe popular but it requires several "compiled" configuration files that other arm systems do not. Additionally there does not seem to be a big demand for these Allwinner arm systems, especially single core.

I think  A20 is great product, I'll buy it or wait for the version with 2gb of ram
