MPD
« on: July 27, 2013, 02:16:07 PM »
Hi, I'd like to install MPD (and MPC) but MPD doesn't seem to be available in the repo. Does this mean it's not possible, even though an ARM version exists?
I notice in another thread that squeezelite can be used, even though that isn't in the repo either.
I did a wget of a debian wheezy MPD but I don't really know where to go from there.

I could use a little help, thanks.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
I'm new to this platform but I'll certainly do what I can.

Yes it would be nice to have MPD and MPC. Fast booting internet radio :). I haven't seen them in repo yet. Any chances ?

Chances? Sure, but it is not running on high priority working on a release candidate. There is for example CMUS, maybe you can use it.

I was trying to install cmus from repo but it show message:
FLAC.tcz (uppercase letters) not available server error 404.

When I was installing moc it was OK and flac.tcz (lowercase letters) was installed.

Is it just a mismatch of or something is missing ?
Thanks in advance

Hi Guys,

I'm also very new here BUT FYI, I'm using a similar daemon to MPD that I find is more extensive and has lots of features.

You can see the original work here :

http://thomas.orgis.org/dermixd/

I have this working on a Pi and mapped to a Java app.

Not sure if that will help but shout if you need more info as I got to know Thomas the author of DerMixD quite well :)

Thanks!

It doesn't build in piCore as it is due to missing memcpy declaration, need some fix.

Aha,

I simply copied the bin file over from my Raspberry build and the 2 .so files it needed.

Didn't think to check the actual build on piCore.

Can I do anything to help?
