Desktop background reverts to default on reboot
« on: October 05, 2013, 01:27:32 AM »
This is my first post in the Tiny Core forums.

I installed TC 5.0 onto a flash drive so I could save files and settings. However, upon reboot, the desktop background always reverts to the default. How can I get Tiny Core to save my background settings?

Thanks

Did you read the wiki sections on backup and persistence?

If you installed with our installer, you should have persistence automatically. Did you use some third-party installer?
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Issue Resolved

I resolved the issue by removing the Tiny Core CD-ROM from the DVD-RW drive. It seems to have resolved all of the issues I had with persistence. I also read the wiki section you referenced, Juanito. To clarify for other readers, I did install with the official Tiny Core installer.
