ruby for 5.x

Hi

I know nothing about ruby
Our 4.x may have a vulnerability as per
https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/news/2013/06/27/hostname-check-bypassing-vulnerability-in-openssl-client-cve-2013-4073/

altho I know Jason W is busy, I am not confident that I would know how to test ruby if I ever was able to build it-----and I am not sure all on the dev-team are inspired by my coding skills.

I have repeated that I am a simple coder in the past but might claim intermediate now at best.

I only ask as weechat-scripts from 4.x has some ruby scripts
I have never tested them

Any ruby experts or confident ruby users here?

If I was to build it, not saying I can, can anyone offer advice on testing?
