Olimex A10 Lime setup - help
« on: August 24, 2015, 04:56:23 PM »
Hi,

I created an SD card, following the mksdcard.tgz script, and was able to boot, but all following instructions failed (ex: with tce-load I get command not found..). I copied on the card:
- u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin  and script.bin from the sunxi repository
- uImage uCore uEnv.txt boot.scr from http://tinycorelinux.net/dCore/armv7/Allwinner-A10/

What am I doing wrong ? Total newbie, so not sur I understand how to proceed. Should I start with an Olimex debian image ?
Is there somewhere a procedure ?

Thanks for your help !

Once networking is set up, the command is sce-import for the dCore ports to import Debian and prebuilt packages.

I just wish I was familiar with Olimex  so I could help more.

Thanks. What other files, if any, do I need to install on my sd card ? Do I need a SCE folder with sources ? Sorry if this is a dumb question...

Hi again, making progress... sce-import works fine, but am loosing imports at each reboot. How do I make things "persistent" ? instruction "backup" does not change anything.

Edit: forgot to run tce-setdrive. However, when I do that, after I cannot import any more becaus I get the following message:
/dev/<drive>/TCE resides on a windows file system...

I formatted the partition using mkfs.vfat

Thanks again

Everything working now - had not seen that a second partition (formatted in EXT4) was required...

Re: Olimex A10 Lime setup - snd_usb_audio ?

Got that one all by myself .

Now here another question: is the  snd_usb_audio module available in any version, and if not, are there any guidelines to compiling a kernel with that module ?
