My VirtualBox setup is as follows.
3 core linux configured with static routing.
Virtualbox network configured as host only, meaning no internet access.
When I troubleshoot routing issues with tcpdump, I’ve found that time are not synchronize between these 3 boxes.

I’ve found that time synchronization can be done in Virtual Box by installing guest addition.

Unfortunately, I’m still having a problem to install guest addition as discussed here.
