Transmission is a gtk2 bittorrent client, but also has a cli app, daemon app, and -remote app.

So dbus could be disabled afterall? The website didn't give that image, but great that it was possible :)

Hopefully not having dbus and libnotify and all that are conveniences and not necessities to make the extension function smoothly.

i get this msg when trying to start transmission:

"transmission: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.11' not found (required by transmission)"

This looks like the extension was compiled against tc-2.9rc4 - if so, extensions should only be compiled against stable releases.

JLS's build script is in the source area, and would just need a rebuild on TC 2.9.  No time at the moment or I would do it.
